    Oh noes! frig-a-tron doesn't like magnets... :-)
He sure has a long electric cord though
  • Jesstheprofoundlyboring · 12 months ago
That... is awesome. I love that he comes with a warning label and everything.
  • nailbeer · 12 months ago
i wish my refrigerator had arms, so that i could give it a hug. you know, just for keeping my food fresh. i appreciate it. it's nice not to take things for granted.
  • St_Martyne · 12 months ago
You are a gifted colorist. This is amazing.
  • Nick · 12 months ago

  • Rotinaj · 12 months ago
lol, at first i thought he just thought her drawing was REALLY bad.
  • pixator · 12 months ago
Ha, you're a 2d artist so good you can't even draw a kid's drawing wrong - you are able to show you'r hand even in that! :) Kudos.
  • Justin · 12 months ago
Anyone notice the kid has a muffin top? No wonder she loves Fridge-a-tron so much.
  • Emily · 11 months ago
Haha I thought the same thing :)
  • mjgorman · 11 months ago
The subtleties in this comic are amazing.

  • P. · 11 months ago
    You mean Ladybug

And the winner of worst appliance design of the year goes to...
  • nothingman · 11 months ago
have been really liking the new layouts.
  • Adam · 11 months ago
I didn't read it as he doesn't like magnets. I read it as the magnet interfered with it.
  • theGlasswalker · 11 months ago
Same here. Too much Futurama, I guess
  • Kay · 11 months ago
    That is one clean kitchen.

Great comic though, I always enjoy 'em a lot.

    Keep on drawing!
  • Dark Lord Fluffy · 11 months ago
Very subtle. I like it. Nice work as usual.
  • Lord Refa · 11 months ago
    Love it as always.

I got it in one, even without noticing that small warning sign.. Tho, all those little details make these comics so good to re-read. :)
  • Daniël · 11 months ago
Haha, ik took me four times to see the "no magnets sign" on the side in the first picture.
  • Turgid · 11 months ago
Must be they just moved in, that's why the house is so clean and undecorated, and the girl's not familiar with the new fridge.
  • Patrick · 11 months ago
I loved this one, one of the best you've done in a while I think :)

Great work as always! I love your drawing style.
  • Sarah · 11 months ago
I agree that the comic is done beautifully, but I feel like there have been several comics on this site that closely resemble comics from the Perry Bible Fellowship... go to pbfcomics.com and look at the comics titled "Refridgeron and Magnimus" and "Disassemble". It's possible the similarities are purely coincidental and I'm being unnecessarily harsh - if so I apologize, it just seems unusual that there are so many paralells in this comic and previous ones.
  • Kevin · 11 months ago
There are robot fridges in all of those strips, but that's about the only thing they have in common. It's not like disney has a lock on cartoons about talking mice :)
  • Rodrigo · 11 months ago
They dont? Damn it! then i should have made that comic.... Blicky Mouse... it was this very original idea about a walrouse.
  • meh · 11 months ago
PBF doesnt update anymore so, it's his loss!
  • D · 11 months ago
They are nothing alike. The characters arent alike: In those comics the fridge is a transformer, in this one the fridge is... a fridge.
The object of the humor isnt alike: Ignoring obstructions causes bad results in this one. In those comics, transformers behave in a way you wouldnt expect them to by themselves (not helping a human or killing them by accident).

If you can spot similarities from such diverse symbols you probably have an OCD.
  • Jackson · 11 months ago
I saw the ladybug magnet and immediately I was like OH NO OH NO OH NO
  • laserfeet · 11 months ago
Haha, awesome. At first I thought the refridgerator just hated that girl, because she's overweight, or maybe she's just a little jerk. Thats what I get for reading comics that arent as clever as this one, I've become unintelligent!
  • lorddillon · 11 months ago
    To meh:

You have hinted several times that you think it is more than coincidence that TBK and PBF seem to be very similar; do you have any other examples, because the fact the PBF and TBK happen to have a couple of comics with refrigerators as characters doesn't make them all that similar.

After all, there is more to a comic than the characters; there is the style of the art and inking, the overall theme of each comic, the way the creatures within interact, etc. PBF and TBK only really match in the fact that they both use abstract ideas to make comments that are usually funny and often hilarious - that is about where the similarity ends for me.

I find TBK to be more intelligent overall, I have to think when I read these comics; I happen to like that aspect a great deal. Plus the art is phenomenal and the often subtle, understated punchline is very entertaining.

PBF was also entertaining, but the art was completely different, and the the punchlines were gotten at in a very different manner, not subtle in the same way, and with extremely different themes - even the refrigerator comics that you used as examples had themes so completely different as to render them not even in the same category (unless "refrigerator as main character" is somehow a major comic category).
  • John · 11 months ago
I've been searching for a way to say exactly what you just said thank you
  • Josh · 11 months ago
the subtle 'no magnet' sticker is nice touch ;)
    love this strip
  • JKM · 11 months ago
Quite so, I read through the strip, wondered where all the kerfuffle had come from, & thought to myself "TBK is subtle, what have I missed?" & went back to the start. It's those little details you have to spot that make it so satisfying.

    you need a news page
  • Aaron T. · 11 months ago
That drawing of Fridge-a-Tron is adorable. Hopefully he got to scan it with his visual sensors before going on his rampage.
  • Emeline · 11 months ago
I wish you drew like the second panel all the time. :(
  • GhengisVaughn · 11 months ago
If Jeremy would let me near the drawing board it WOULD look like panel #2

  • ichigo · 11 months ago
the ladybug is also a symbol for meaningless violence. (zinloos geweld in dutch)
  • Piranha · 11 months ago
Its also funny, that instead of holding on to her head, she just has to pull the switch ;)
    Stupid kid.
    Unless refrigerator works on batteries...

It’s part of what makes the experience so much fun. It’s also what makes it occasionally annoying. And this is coming from a Cubs fan.
