lol this picture totally reminded me of Fallout 3
mostly because of the wasteland and the twist on the name of the soda.
For those of you who don't know in F3, the major soda company is Nuka-Cola (mention above). Also the game takes place after nuclear war which is what makes the joke funny.

It is actually possible to drink while wearing modern gas masks. They use basically the principle pictured above, except that the filter stays on and the bottle or canteen is screwed to a adapter which has a straw you can drink from.

Well, in any case radiation has nothing to do with gas masks. Chemical fallout, possibly, but then again if it was realistic the strip would be moot.

He's just a guy who wants a soda, can't figure out how he's going to drink it without taking off his mask. He figures out a way, but now he's flooded himself in grape soda. Kinda like, oops. We've all done stupid stuff like that.

Actually, it isn't. If you look in the second panel, you can see that from the correct angle, it would be blocked by the collar. It is possible that at the overlap between the upper and lower collar, the belt would be showing, but it's also possible that it would not. Also, the panel cuts before showing where the lower collar ends, so the collar is hidden, but not missing.

I'm also a bit confused about the last panel, but I like it either way. In one, he's figured out a way to drink the stuff without exposing himself to the radiation and his expression is one of delirious bliss. In the other version, the evil corporation that engineered the apocalypse left these soda machines around for the few people that donned protective equipment in time. The can suspiciously fits into the gas mask and instantly floods the victim, forcing him to decide between drowning in grape soda and removing the mask and exposing himself to toxic radiation. Or at least that's my take on it.

I'm in suspense as to our post-apocalyptic survivor's fate. Is he drowning, or deliciously refreshed? Also, what's powering the soda machine, or are we missing the panel where it steals his money and he crowbars it open?

Really, you have to appreciate the speed of some greedy corporation to conveniently make an apocalypse-themed soda. At the very least, they made that nice backglass for the survivors.
