As for the mat, it just looks like a very slight goof. Like the artist vertically flipped the mat's text layer instead of rotating it 180 degrees.

I still think these comics are some of the best drawn online and very funny.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

One of the best

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

the first panel is really creepy and i agree with Naomi. that is freaky as shit.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

I know what you mean about making it unsettling. I think "Hellsdrury" on his hat and the baby picture of him is just scary

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Something bothered me about the first panel, and I was looking at the EMOCLEW mat per the other comments when I realized that the Doughboy is lit from the _right-hand_ side of the panel, but the fire is on the _left-hand_ side. And now I wonder if the whole first panel was _supposed_ to be vaguely unsettling, perhaps to make the final panel more funny and less horrific by comparison.

If that was the intention, it worked.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Yeah, the word welcome is definitely backwards and upside down. All they had to do was flip the picture and write it, how hard would that have been? Honestly. Great comic, though! Brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Delightful :)

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Could someone pass the butter, please.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

The muffin on the mantle is classic.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Very nice.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

I'm pretty sure that - and based on the fact that most of these comics aren't for the intelligence-impaired - that the WELCOME was meant to be spelled (spelt? delicious noodles?) incorrectly.

The doughboy has not met a welcome, after all.

Re: Truck Bearing Kibble

Look even more closely...
