I think the low average is due to the perspective error in the last panel. At least, that was my reason for lowering my usual 5-star vote to a 3.

Are you guys retarded? Do you know how pelicans work? Go look on wikipedia or something. For god's sake he's in the pelican's mouth. Their mouths stretch. Nothing else to be said. "I give it 3/5 for perspective error?" Give yourself 3/5, and give me a break.

I think the issue here is that there is no physical way for the pelican's mouth to be closed and still have the guy's head in there, even though it does stretch. If the mouth were more around the top of the head and open slightly at the guy's neck, it would make sense.. But it's still a funny comic, geez.
